What You Send Us
The enquiry form at the foot of every page asks for a phone number and an email address, both required, plus an optional name and question. Sending it passes those fields to our editorial system, where they are used to answer you and for nothing else. The form also carries one hidden field that a real visitor never sees; if it comes back filled in, the submission is treated as spam and dropped.
Mail sent to desk@beautifulart.us stays in that mailbox with the rest of the correspondence. The newsletter buttons on the site are not forms in the usual sense: they open your own mail client with a message ready to go, and nothing reaches us until you send it yourself.
What Gets Measured
Every page loads Yandex Metrica. It stores cookies in your browser and records page views, the referring address, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, browser and device details, where you clicked, and, through its session replay feature, a reconstruction of how the page was scrolled and read. We look at it to see which surveys get finished and which get abandoned. Yandex handles that data on its own terms, published at yandex.com/legal/confidential.
Other Services Inside the Page
- Google Fonts. The typeface is served from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, so loading a page sends your IP address and browser details to Google.
- Google reCAPTCHA. Where the enquiry form is protected by reCAPTCHA, its script gathers device and interaction signals to score a submission as human or automated. Google's own privacy terms cover that data.
- Partner links. Following a tagged outbound link takes you to an outside platform that sets its own cookies under its own policy. We learn only that a sale came through us, never what you browsed there. The disclosure explains the arrangement.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own for advertising or profiling. The ones you will find belong to the analytics and anti-spam scripts above. Any browser can block or clear them, and a content blocker stops those scripts loading at all. The pages work either way.
How Long Things Are Kept
An enquiry stays in our system while we are answering it and for as long as the conversation might reasonably carry on, then goes in the next clear-out or sooner if you ask. Analytics data is held by Yandex on its own retention schedule, which we do not set.
Who Else Sees It
We do not sell personal data, and we do not hand enquiries to galleries, platforms or anyone else. The only outside parties involved are the services named above and the company that hosts the servers.
Asking Us to Change or Delete It
Write to desk@beautifulart.us to find out what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it erased. Say which email address or phone number to look for, otherwise there is nothing for us to search on. These requests are answered on weekdays and cost nothing.
Children
The site is written for an adult readership and we do not knowingly collect anything from children. If a child has sent details through the form, write to us and we will remove them.
Changes to This Page
When the policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no notification list, so if the terms matter to you, check that date.
